The Holley Institute

The mission of The Holley Institute, a non-profit organization founded in 1993, is to assist the Deaf, Deaf/Blind and hard of hearing by providing services and programs aimed at improving their quality of life. Because early detection of hearing loss is critical for intervention, Holley  Institute volunteers screen all newborn infants for deafness and hearing loss at St. John Hospital and Medical Center.

The Holley Institute owns and operates the Holley Family Village, located at De Sales Center on Lake Vineyard in the Irish Hills of Brooklyn, Michigan. Here, it offers educational, recreational and mental health programs for Deaf, Deaf/Blind and hard of hearing children, adults and their families. The Institute also offers classes in American Sign Language (ASL) to help educate the local and hospital communities.
