American Sign Language (ASL) is the third most widely used language in the United States. ASL is a wonderfully expressive language that enables the Deaf to communicate with one another and with the hearing.
The Holley Institute offers classes in American Sign Language (ASL) at several locations throughout the metro-Detroit area including: St. John Hospital & Medical Center in Detroit, St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren, St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Oakland Center in Madison Heights, and Providence Park Hospital in Novi.
Our 10 week ASL classes will give students an introduction to the fundamental principals of ASL including: vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar, fingerspelling, facial expressions, and spatial awareness. These classes are non-accredited.
More intensive summer programs in ASL are offered at the Holley Family Village in Brooklyn, Michigan.
